Garden Harvest bread will be ready around 11am. Likewise the Italian biscotti served at nearly every coffee bar would never be characterized as cookies. Into a second bowl sift all the dry ingredients together. They’re a real treat for breakfast, brunch, or snack time. All those little pea-size clumps of butter create structure in the scones and make them tender and fluffy when baked. Muffins come in many varieities and are traditionally baked in muffin tins from a drop batter made from a mixture typically containing all-purpose flour, sugar, a leavening agent (baking powder/soda), eggs, fat, liquid (milk, buttermilk, yogurt, sour cream), and salt. But it was Popeye's biscuits that I constantly craved for when we came back home.
